KNOXVILLE, Tenn. ( WATE ) — A new airline has announced it will be offering flights from McGhee Tyson Airport and Tweed-New Haven Airport in Connecticut.
Avelo Airlines announced the nonstop service between the two airports on Tuesday, explaining that they will be the only airline offering services between the Great Smoky Mountains and Southern Connecticut.

The airline said it will offer flights twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays on Boeing’s Next-Generation 737 aircraft.
For customers who book their flights by February 13, Avelo said it is offering introductory fares from Knoxville to New Haven for $62 beginning on May 9. The airline added that additional charges may apply for baggage, assigned seats, and other optional services.
