KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Knoxville Police Department has located the guardian of a five-year-old girl who was found alone at a community center near Western Avenue Wednesday afternoon.
Knoxville Police reported that the girl showed up alone at the Westley House Community Center just before 5 p.m.
In an update at 5:25 p.m., Knoxville Police reported that the girl’s guardian had been found and she was being returned to her family.
“Thanks, as always, for quickly helping to spread the word!” Knoxville police wrote.
