Knox County Schools: Hardin Valley Academy evacuated as a precaution after odor reported

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Hardin Valley Academy has been evacuated as a precaution because of a reported odor, according to a Knox County Schools spokesperson.

The spokesperson shared that an odor was reported and the school was evacuated as a precaution while the Knox County Schools maintenance team and Knoxville Utility Board assessed the situation.

Just before noon, a parent of a student of Hardin Valley Academy shared an email with WATE that they received from the principal, stating that the school had been evacuated due to an odor.
