KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Knoxville Police Department took a suspect wanted on multiple felony arrest warrants into custody on Thursday after roughly 90 minutes of crisis negotiations.
KPD personnel and crisis negotiators responded to the Pine Ridge Apartments on Schubert Road around 2:50 p.m. Thursday to assist detectives in the apprehension of man wanted for charges that included especially aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary and convicted felon in possession of a weapon.

Negotiators made phone contact with the suspect shortly after arriving at the scene. They maintained contact until the suspect voluntarily exited his apartment and surrendered around 4:30 p.m. There were no injuries reported.
The identity of the suspect has not yet been released. A KPD spokesperson said the suspect was questioned concerning potential involvement in other ongoing investigations.
