Amazon distribution center in Knoxville now open and hiring

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The long-awaited Amazon distribution center in Knoxville is now open and they are hiring.

A spokesperson for the company confirmed to 6 News on Thursday that initial operations at distribution center have begun at the former cite of the Knoxville Center Mall.

“We’ve started initial operations at DNA6 our delivery station in Knoxville. We’re grateful for the support of our local partners and the team is ready to ramp up at this facility and deliver for customers in the area,” the spokesperson said.

Amazon is listing jobs available at the new distribution center at www.amazon.com/jobs . As of Thursday, there are two job listings: a Delivery Station Customer Service Associate listing and a Amazon Logistics Senior Program Manager for Regional Fleet Operations listing.

Notably, the basic qualifications for the delivery station customer service associate are requirements such as a high school or equivalent diploma, previous customer service experience, and experience with Windows Operating Systems. Neither listing includes salary expectations.
