Knoxville Police: Device ‘rendered safe’ at auto body shop on Walbrook Drive

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. ( WATE ) — The Knoxville Police Department has shared that what was reported to be a “possible suspicious device” found at an auto body shop Friday on Walbrook Drive was not dangerous and has been rendered safe.

The agency posted about the scene Friday around 1 p.m. on its social media. Traffic in the area was reportedly impacted, as the auto body shop Dents and Detail is located on Walbrook near North Gallaher View Road and Walker Springs Road.

Just before 3 p.m., Knoxville Police said the device was determined to be not dangerous and had been rendered safe.
