Lee Corso Boldly Predicts Freshman QB Will Win Multiple Heisman Trophies

College football fans have learned over the years that when “College GameDay” analyst Lee Corso makes a bold prediction, he often has an uncanny habit of being right.

So when Corso made another brazen prediction on Saturday’s “College GameDay” about Tennessee Volunteers redshirt freshman quarterback Nico Iamaleava, fans took notice.

“He’s one of the nation’s best quarterbacks,” Corso stated. “He already had two career starts, he’s been sensational in both games. I predict…as long as he stays at Tennessee, he’s a top Heisman Trophy winner. He’s got a chance to get that thing more than once.”

Iamaleava put Heisman voters on notice last week with his impressive performance against Chattanooga. The 20-year-old signal-caller completed 78.5% of his passes for 314 yards and three touchdowns as the Vols thrashed Chattanooga 69-3.

His first college start was equally as impressive last season when he stepped in for Joe Milton, who opted out of the Citrus Bowl to prepare for the NFL Draft. He completed 63.2% of his passes for 151 yards and a touchdown, and he rushed for 27 yards and three touchdowns as he led UT to a 35-0 win over then-No. 17-ranked Iowa.
