Enjoy goldenrods, asters, and other fall flowers during a hike in the Catoosa Wildlife Management Area on Sept. 21.

In this joint outing with the Oak Ridge-based Tennessee Citizens for Wilderness Planning and the Tennessee Native Plant Society, hikers will caravan from Crab Orchard to the mountain power line, then walk along the power line right-of-way. The walk will be less than four miles round-trip, with opportunities to return early, a news release said.

Meet at 9 a.m. for caravanning at the Gold’s Gym/Books-A-Million parking lot in Oak Ridge (at the end close to South Illinois Avenue, near Salsarita’s restaurant), or meet at 9 a.m. Central time at the Marathon station at I-40 Crab Orchard exit 329 east of Crossville.
