Located in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Gatlinburg is ranked as the third-best city for experiencing vibrant fall colors in the United States, according to the island.com study.

Gatlinburg has over 100 hiking and scenic trails for experiencing the changing of the leaves. The study showed the best time for getting a look at peak Gatlinburg foliage is Oct. 26-Nov. 3, so there’s still time to plan your trip.
