Rural Metro said the neighbor had alerted the people who were sleeping inside the home to the fire, and his work to battle the blaze kept damage to the home minimal.
While the man’s identity was not shared, the fire department thanked him for being a “good neighbor” in a social media post.
“This is what we mean when we say look out for each other! Thanks for being a good neighbor,” Rural Metro wrote.
