Tennessee Vols WR sent a message to Alabama defenders and then delivered on that message

Tennessee Vols wide receiver Dont’e Thornton sent a not-so-subtle message with his eye black on Saturday night during UT’s 24-17 win against the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Thornton had “Murder! Any! Corner!” written across his eyeblack during Tennessee’s game against Bama.

The former Oregon Ducks transfer finished the night with three receptions for 70 yards, including a 55 yard reception that put the Vols in position to take their first lead of the game.

That’s not an easy catch even though Thornton made the over-the-shoulder grab look easy.

Thornton has developed into one of Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava’s most dependable targets. No cornerback on the Vols’ schedule the rest of the season will be safe when Thornton is on the field.
