POWELL, Tenn. (WATE) — A community is in disbelief after the body of a 13-year-old girl was found in the Broadacres neighborhood in Powell . Members of the community are making sure the victims family is in their prayers.
“This is the type of conversation you wish you never had to have. We’d love it if we never had to have these conversations,” First Baptist Powell Senior Pastor Perry Garrett said. “It’s unthinkable and unimaginable, but I think we don’t avoid these things because they happen.”

“There will be families and close friends grieving beyond imagination. As these various facts surface, more information surfaces we expect to have more conversations,” Garrett said. “At this point the conversations we are having are fairly ambiguous because there is so much that is yet to be known.”
