KNOXVILLE, Tenn. ( WATE ) — Kids, get ready to run around Zoo Knoxville for a 1-mile fun run in your fastest running shoes.
The Covenant Kids Run kickoff is set for 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, and is returning to Zoo Knoxville. Children in the 8th grade and younger are eligible to participate, and the event marks the start of the Fittest School Challenge, which encourages children to be active – by completing the exercise equivalent of a 26.2-mile marathon – and earn prize money for their schools.

The Fittest School Challenge ends with a final mile in World’s Fair Park during the Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon weekend on Saturday, April 5, 2025.
Online registration is $28, including a $3 processing fee, and covers the cost of the kick-off event, last-lap race at the Covenant Kids Run in April 2025, a finisher medal, T-shirt, goody bag
and finisher certificate.
