Tennessee Department of Transportation crews will be installing a raised median island that will prohibit left turns from northbound N. Broadway to southbound Hall of Fame Drive.
Additionally, a new crosswalk between Kenyon Street and the Hall of Fame Drive exit and entrance ramps will be installed. A City of Knoxville wrote on social media that it will allow safer passage for pedestrians crossing North Broadway by adding a protected place to stop and wait if they can’t cross all lanes at one time and making the crossing more visible.
