TOWNSEND, Tenn. — The Grains & Grits Festival is set to return for its eighth year of celebrating Southern spirits, culinary artistry, and Smoky Mountain charm. The annual event will be scheduled for Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Townsend Visitors Center, bringing together Tennessee’s top distillers and chefs in a warm and inviting outdoor setting. Hosted by the Blount Partnership and the Tennessee Distillers Guild, Grains & Grits showcases the state’s renowned spirits and Southern-inspired cuisine.
This year’s festival promises unique offerings, including samples from over 35 regional distillers and blenders and gourmet creations from chefs across the country. A standout feature, The Ring of Fire, will once again spotlight chefs roasting whole hog, lamb, chicken, and sausages over an open flame, pairing each dish with Tennessee spirits to create a memorable fusion of flavors. Guests will also enjoy live music by Smooth Sailor, lawn games, and the welcoming atmosphere for which Townsend is known.
