KNOXVILLE, Tenn. ( WATE ) — The yellow fire trucks seen in rural parts of the country will remain yellow after the acquisition of the Rural Metro Fire Department, which was founded in 1940s.
Global Medical Response, the parent company of the nationwide private fire department, announced this week that its companies, Rural Metro Fire and Valley Fire Services, will be operated by Brindlee Fire Services under the Rural Metro Fire brand.

Brindlee Fire Services is headquartered in Alabama. According to a news release, Brindlee Fire Services and Global Medical Response are targeting a closing date for the acquisition in 2024, subject to standard closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.
