KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – UPDATE: The Knoxville Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that happened on Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue on Saturday afternoon. KPD said officers responded to a call around 2 p.m. of a two-car crash at MLK Jr. Avenue at Parkview Avenue. The investigation revealed that a car driving eastbound on MLK Jr. Avenue veered across the center line and hit a westbound car head-on, according to KPD.
