Field taking shape at new Knoxville stadium

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Covenant Health Park is getting much closer to looking like a finished stadium. 6 News took a tour of the new $114-million Knoxville stadium on Friday to get an up close view of the freshly installed grass and other features.

Mohamed Abbas, a senior project manager at Denark Construction, detailed the next steps, including “finalizing the clay infield and then wrapping up the warning track that surrounds the field.” The seating is “about 85% complete” and is expected to be finished before Thanksgiving, Abbas said.
