ESPN’s “College GameDay” broadcasts live from a college campus each and every week, breaking down the biggest matchups on Saturday mornings.
For Week 12, the show will be broadcasting live from Athens, Georgia, ahead of the huge SEC matchup between the No. 7 Tennessee Volunteers and the No. 12 Georgia Bulldogs.
Every week, the “GameDay” panel — featuring Rece Davis, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee, Nick Saban, Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit — are joined by a guest picker. This week, the show will welcome WWE star Cody Rhodes to the program in that spot.
Here’s what you need to know about Rhodes and why he was chosen to be a celebrity guest picker for Tennessee vs. Georgia.

Who is Cody Rhodes?
Rhodes, 39, is the current Undisputed WWE Champion. He won the WWE championship at WrestleMania 40 in April, and he also won the inaugural Crown Jewel Championship, which took place in Saudi Arabia earlier this month.
Rhodes should have some familiarity with McAfee, as the former NFL punter-turned-pundit commentates for the WWE in the college football and NFL offseason. Before joining WWE in 2022, Rhodes was both an actor and producer.
