Dating isn’t always easy, even with the prevalence of apps and online sites promising everlasting love. If you’re have trouble finding “the one,” it may actually be because of where you live as some singles may have a harder time looking for love in certain cities than they would in others.
WalletHub compared over 180 cities around the country to figure out which are the best (and the worst!) for singles. While you may expect major destinations like New York City, Los Angeles and Chicago to top the list, the real rankings may come as a surprise. Four cities in Tennessee made the list, with a couple locales ranking among the worst:
- No. 51: Knoxville
- No. 72: Nashville
- No. 140: Chattanooga
- No. 164: Memphis
Coming in at No. 164 overall, Memphis was the lowest-ranking Volunteer State destination on the list, making it one of the worst in the country for singles. Chattanooga was the second-lowest Tennessee city on the list, though it had high marks in the economics category.
