Silver Alert issued for missing Greeneville man

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has issued a Silver Alert for man reported missing from Greeneville.

Danny Smith, 60, is considered missing after he reportedly left his home in the 400 block of Mulberry Road in Greeneville around 11 p.m. on Sunday. A TBI release said that Smith has a medical condition that may impact his ability to return safely without assistance.

He described as standing 6’1″ tall, weighing 140 pounds with green eyes and brown hair. Smith was last seen wearing blue jeans and a maroon top over a gray sweatshirt.

Anyone with information on Smith’s possible whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately or call 1-800-TBI-FIND.

WJHL reported that the Greene County Sheriff’s Office has deployed a K-9 unit to the area where he was reported missing.
