New Vols transfer addition posts awesome throwback photo after committing to Tennessee

The Tennessee Vols made a big addition on Tuesday by landing Alabama Crimson Tide transfer wide receiver Amari Jefferson.

Jefferson, a former four-star recruit from Chattanooga, was a true freshman at Alabama in 2024. He didn’t see any action for the Crimson Tide after taking a redshirt year. Jefferson has four seasons of eligibility remaining.

Shortly after committing to Tennessee on Tuesday, Jefferson, who was a UT baseball commit before signing with Alabama, posted a throwback photo of himself as a kid in an orange Vols jersey.

Jefferson grew up playing football with Vols defensive back Boo Carter (both players were members of the 2024 recruiting class).

Carter is expected to see time on offense for Tennessee in 2025 which means Vols fans could see the duo on the field at the same time on Rocky Top.
