KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Two properties in the Knoxville area are on a list of federally-owned properties that could soon be cut, after Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency announced plans to sell real estate across the country.
One of those properties is the Internal Revenue Service’s offices in the John J. Duncan Federal Building, located in downtown Knoxville. The lease has not been terminated as of Thursday, but having the property included on the department’s lists indicates that the General Services Administration could soon cut it.
