KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — One firefighter was injured after crews with Rural Metro responded to a modular home fire in North Knox County Friday morning.
Rural Metro Fire said that around 10 a.m., firefighters responded to the fire in the 8800 block of Heiskell Road. There, they saw a double wild modular home engulfed in flames.

Despite gusting winds, crews were able contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to the woods or any other nearby structures, but the home suffered major damages. Rural Metro said the home was also 1800 feet from the road and nearest hydrant, which made it even more challenging initially.
One person was evaluated on the scene. A firefighter was taken from the scene with an upper arm injury, Rural Metro said.
The department added a reminder for residents to clearly identify their driveway with their addresses so that emergency services “can locate you in your time of need.”
