KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A new AI-driven chatbot is being debuted by Knoxville’s 311 Center for Service. Whether its reporting a problem or asking a question, the brand new “Rocky Bot” is programmed to help.
On Thursday, the City of Knoxville’s 311 Center celebrated it’s 20th anniversary with a birthday party. In addition to cake and an open house, the 311 Center also officially debuted its newest tool to help residents: Rocky Bot.

20 years ago, Knoxville’s 311 service was the eighth in the nation to go live. Since then, it has had nearly four million customer contacts and 800 service requests. Every day, 311 receives between 600 and 700 contacts per day, and while many may still want to call the office directly, Rocky Bot is there for those who may be looking for a quick answer at their finger tips or want to report an issue quickly.
