It’s been a year of loss for the Tennessee Vols in their secondary for a multitude of reasons.
Star CB Jermod McCoy suffered an ACL injury back in January that put his availability for the start of the season in question. Safety Jakobe Thomas, who stood to increase his role with the team, hit the transfer portal. Defensive backs John Slaughter and Christian Charles also transferred out. The incoming moves to offset those setbacks have been limited.
