Former patients of TN-based clinics now eligible for compensation

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Former patients of HRC Medical Centers may soon receive financial restitution, Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti announced Tuesday.

Consumers who purchased bioidentical hormone replacement therapy from one of HRC’s three Tennessee locations in Knoxville, Nashville, and Memphis can now apply to receive up to $2,250 each through a claims process launched by the Tennessee Attorney General’s Office.

The Office sued HRC Medical Centers in 2012 over allegations of deceptive advertising and obtained an $18 million judgement against the company in 2017. Skrmetti’s office said they believe all available assets have been collected from the defendants and will begin distributing the roughly $1.5 million that has been recovered.

Forms will be mailed to all known eligible customers. Claims can also be filed through hrcrestitutionfund.com . Forms must be submitted by August 30. The restitution fund administrator has created a phone line for questions about the process at 1-833-419-4862…
