14-year-old Maryville golfer one step away from US Open qualification

ALCOA, Tenn. (WATE) — At two years old, Ryan ReBell filmed his son, Raymond, hitting golf balls in his backyard. The duo pretended they were at the US Open.

Twelve years later, that dream in his backyard could now become a reality for Raymond ReBell. At just 14 years old, he has earned a spot in the final round of the US Open qualifier.

“I first picked up a club around 16 months,” said Raymond. “My dad started taking me to the range around that time. It was fun.”
