MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — An arrest warrant is revealing new details about a gas leak in Maryville on May 9 that caused hundreds of people to be evacuated.
Christopher Kyle Duke, of Maryville, is facing charges of vandalism, burglary, reckless endangerment and fraud, theft or destruction of property the warrant stated. His bail has been set at $50,000.
Water main break causes lane closure on Clinton Highway
On May 9, 19 businesses and 430 residents ear the 1220 block of Celtic Road were temporarily evacuated due to a gas leak. The northbound lanes of the US 129 Bypass were also briefly closed as responders entered the area where the valves were to shut them off. No injuries were reported.
