KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — While you’re sleeping, the Knoxville Police Department (KPD) Forensics team is busy at work. The forensic unit gathers evidence from crime scenes like blood spatter patterns, fingerprints, DNA evidence and bullets, which it uses to solve crimes in the city.
“The dark conceals stuff,” Crime Scene Technician Cody Lawson explained. “Tends to be when people want to hide things.”
