Stolen Knoxville food truck recovered in Nashville

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Dulcie’s Cafe food truck was recovered in Nashville, the Knoxville Police Department said. No one has been arrested or charged. The investigation is ongoing.

The Knoxville food truck was stolen early Saturday morning from the Dulcie’s Cafe Jamaican Cuisine restaurant. Security camera footage showed what appeared to be a Home Depot rental truck driving off with it, police said.

6 News spoke to the owners who said that they were saddened by the loss of their truck, and they added this wasn’t the first time it had been stolen.

“We’ve had our windows broken in, we’ve had our doors replaced before, both of them, our food truck has been stolen once before,” said co-owner Jeneve Blake-Johnson. “We recovered it within a couple of hours, thanks to the community.”

The owners added locks on the wheels and cameras around their building, trying to prevent future crime, but this didn’t stop the truck from getting stolen again…
