KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A family from Farragut is standing by the hospital bed of their 9-year-old son after he was hit by debris during an EF-2 tornado in Paducah, Kentucky, in April.
Bentley White has a traumatic brain injury, his dad said, caused by what he thinks could have been a piece of plywood.
Bentley’s father, Thomas White, hasn’t left his son’s side. He said Bentley had a fractured skull from the debris, and one-third of his skull had to be removed. A later surgery will be scheduled at Vanderbilt Medical Center…
