KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee minors found guilty of bullying or cyberbullying will soon face a new consequence: losing their ability to drive.
A new law sponsored by Rep. Lowell Russell (R–Vonore) requires juvenile court judges to suspend a minor’s driver’s license, or ability to gain a learner’s permit, for one year if the teen is found guilty, also called “delinquent” in juvenile court terminology, for bullying or cyberbullying.
