KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – A Knoxville couple is facing several drug charges after the Knox County Sheriff’s Office raided a house for the second time in just two years. Court documents obtained by WVLT News also said that house is within a thousand feet of an elementary school.
The documents name 33-year-old Lauren Adams and 35-year-old Richard Adams as the suspects. They were last charged in March of 2023, when Knox County’s SWAT team said they had found several pounds of drugs like heroin, fentanyl and marijuana and almost 20 guns in the house on Boyes Ridge Pike, in easy reach of three children.
“It is more probable than not that Richard and Lauren subjected the three juveniles to an imminent danger of sudden overdose and death by processing fentanyl in the residence and leaving fentanyl residue within reach of the children,” a police report from 2023 said…
