KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — A car crashed into a building, leaving the driver “in what appeared to be serious condition,” Rural Metro Fire said.
Rural Metro responded to reports of a crash on Washington Pike near Luttrell Road around 2:00 a.m. Sunday. When crews arrived, they found a vehicle that had driven off the road and into the building of a bonding company, Rural Metro said.

Crews cut the driver from the heavily damaged car, and the driver was taken to the hospital in what appeared to be serious condition, Rural Metro said. There was heavy damage to the building as well.
