Former Jacksboro police officer charged with reckless endangerment

CLAIBORNE COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — A former Jacksboro assistant police chief was arrested in Claiborne County and faces charges including reckless endangerment and carrying a weapon under the influence, according to the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office.

CCSO arrested Kris M. Gulliver, 45, on July 4. According to Sheriff Bob Brooks, Gulliver fired a gun multiple times in the vicinity of his neighbor during an argument.

Both Brooks and District Attorney General Jared Effler confirmed that Gulliver was an assistant chief at the Jacksboro Police Department. 6 News twice asked the town of Jacksboro to confirm that Gulliver had worked there and to ask his employment status. A town spokesperson simply responded, “No comment.”…
