MARQUETTE, Mich. (WBUP/WJMN) — A 21-year-old Northern Michigan University (NMU) student has died after falling from a crane at a construction site in Tennessee.
According to My UP Now’s affiliate WATE, the victim’s name is Jackson Gervasio, of Sault Ste. Marie. They reported that police officers with Knoxville Police Department (KPD) responded to the construction site around 2 a.m. on Saturday, July 5.
In the Northern email announcing the news, Vice President of People, Culture and Wellbeing Rhea Dever wrote that Gervasio was a senior at the university.
