MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating after a fatal crash on US 411 in Blount County.
THP confirmed to 6 News that at least one person died as a result of the crash. Just before 7 p.m., the Blount County Sheriff’s Office reported that US 441 between Brick Mill Road and Thompson Bridge Road reopened in both directions following the crash.
Initially, A spokesperson for the Tennessee Department of Transportation said US 411 was closed in Blount County due to the crash. The Blount County Sheriff’s Office encouraged people to find an alternate route if they must travel in the area.
