KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — One person died after a crash involving a motorcycle in South Knoxville, the Knoxville Police Department said.
Around 11:20 p.m. Tuesday, KPD officers responded to the intersection of Chapman Highway and Woodlawn Pike after a crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck. The motorcyclist was taken to UT Medical Center and was later pronounced dead.

After investigating, police believe that the motorcyclist was “speeding south on Chapman Highway” when they crashed into the rear of the pickup truck which was stopped at a traffic light, police said.
