NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Six East Tennessee sites received multi-thousand-dollar grants to support economic development projects in rural areas, Gov. Bill Lee announced Wednesday.
Each grant was awarded by the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. The funding, totaling more than $6 million, will support infrastructure and engineering improvements focused on driving rural economic growth.
“What happens in rural Tennessee matters to all of Tennessee, and today’s grant announcement marks another step forward in creating greater economic opportunity across our state,” Gov.
