KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — It’s that time of year again, SchoolMania is back!
The annual event returns to Knoxville today for its seventh year. Hosted by Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs in partnership with several faith-based organizations across the county, SchoolMania provides free school supplies to students from preschool to 12th grade.
This year’s event is expected to be the biggest one yet. According to a release, crews handed out more than 6,000 backpacks and assembled over 7,000 bags of supplies at last year’s event, thanks to donations from local businesses, charities and churches.
