UT Knoxville helps launch first U.S. nuclear energy curriculum for young elementary students

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The University of Tennessee’s Tickle College of Engineering is playing a key role in a new statewide initiative introducing nuclear energy concepts to kindergarten through second-grade students.

Starting in the 2025–26 school year, more than 280 Tennessee elementary teachers will have access to age-appropriate nuclear energy concepts.
