LOUDON COUNTY, Tenn. — A man whose remains were found in 2019 in Loudon County has been identified as a result of a partnership between the Knox County Regional Forensic Center, the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s “Cold Case and Unidentified Human Remains Initiative.”
On Aug. 20, 2019, the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of human remains found in a wooded area by a Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) crew mowing along Interstate 75 in Philadelphia, Tenn.
Loudon County detectives and the Knox County Regional Forensic Center (RFC) began investigating the death and attempting to identify the victim. ……
