KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Eleven people who had outstanding warrants were arrested during a two-day property crime crackdown operation in Knoxville and Knox County.
On Thursday, the Knoxville Police Department shared the results of the operation that happened on Tuesday and Wednesday, and was part of KPD’s effort to address persistent property crimes and repeat offenders. The police department was assisted by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Department of Corrections’ (TDOC) Parole and Probation.

Before the operation began, detectives and crime analysts with KPD’s Property Crimes Unit worked with KCSO and TDOC to identify individuals with outstanding warrants relating to property crimes. During that search, there was also a focus on individuals who were on parole or probation.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, KPD and KCSO each had teams attempting to locate individuals who were identified. In total, 11 people with outstanding warrants were arrested. That number included five individuals with felony theft charges and three people with violations of probation or parole charges for previous property crime charges, KPD said…
