In 1968, Stuckey’s moved out, Gamble Motor Company moved in from Jacksboro to Lafollette
LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Stuckey’s opened for business in Lafollette in the late 1940s. It was a very popular stop for those traveling Highway 25W. The stores offered their famous pecan rolls, fudge, ice cream and many other goodies.
Stuckey’s also sold Texaco gas and oil.
When I-75 opened between Caryville and Jellico, it wasn’t long until Stuckey’s was gone. The building went up for auction in April 1968. In 1969, the building became the home of Gamble Motors who is still there today in the old Stuckey’s building…
