A man wanted on multiple felony charges was arrested after a coordinated effort by law enforcement agencies in Sevier County, Tennessee. Arnaldo Gomez Alberto, 24, was apprehended at a residence on Goose Gap Road following a tip regarding his whereabouts. The arrest was executed by deputies from the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Response Team (SCSO SORT), supported by SWAT officers from the Sevierville Police Department and the Pigeon Forge Police Department.
According to a social media post from the Sevierville Police Department, Alberto managed to avoid capture during a July 26 incident on Franklin Drive in Sevierville before officers could respond. His flight set off a manhunt that concluded with yesterday’s arrest. The Sevier County Ambulance Service was on site during the arrest as a precautionary measure, but no injuries were reported during the apprehension.
