KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Women across Tennessee and North Carolina say they were left heartbroken and out thousands of dollars just days before one of the most important moments of their lives.
10News spoke with six new mothers and brides who say they paid thousands of dollars to a Knoxville woman advertising herself as a doula and wedding makeup artist. The women say Alaysia Barton Cooper canceled on them before their weddings, wouldn’t show up to take care of their newborns or simply ghosted them.
