Crews fight three-acre brushfire in remote section of Sevier County

SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — Sevier County Fire & Rescue, the Tennessee Department of Forestry and other agencies are battling a three-acre brushfire near Phillips Way in Sevier County, according to Vice Mayor Bryan McCarter.

The fire is about 50% contained, McCarter said in a 6:46 p.m. update. It is in a remote section of Richardson’s Cove.
