KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — An investigation is underway after a shooting at an apartment complex on S. Gallaher View Road left one person dead Tuesday morning, Knoxville police said.
The police department said the shooting happened around 9:30 a.m. at the Copper Pointe Apartment Complex in the 400 block of S. Gallaher View Road.

When officers responded to the scene, they found a man who had been shot inside an apartment. Knoxville Police said he was taken to an area hospital in critical condition but was later pronounced dead.
According to KPD, the suspect in the shooting reportedly left the scene in a silver F-150 pickup truck. Using license plate reader technology, police located the truck a short time later in Blount County, where the suspect was detained. They have been taken to the Public Safety Complex in Knoxville where they are currently being questioned by KPD Homicide Unit detectives. Knoxville police said charges are pending…
