Students adjust to new KCS wireless device ban

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Phones in classrooms, cafeterias and hallways in Tennessee schools are now a thing of the past–thanks to a new state law.

The law went into effect on July 1 and requires schools to implement policies that restrict device use during instructional time.

The Knox County Board of Education implemented a total ban, meaning students, no matter their age, cannot have any devices during the school day. That includes lunch time and passing times…
